Needs hours of charging dies in 7-10 min
I charged it for many hours the first time and it worked for about 10 minutes before the battery died. I charged it again until the green light stopped blinking and it took 7.5 hours this time. I used it for another not even 10 minutes. I plugged it in and it blinked red for a couple of hours and I unplugged it. Tried to charge it the next day and it blinked green so I let it charge until it stopped blinking green again. It worked fine again for about 7 minutes. I gave it one more try. It has been taking 7 hours minimum to charge the 20v battery each time so I can't get much done and you know how sloppy it can be when you trim certain weeds so I am giving up. It's back to the store. I have my receipt. Bought it about a month ago for $66. I have to get into town to exchange it or get a refund. I don't know what to get yet. I need at least 30-40min per charged battery with a shorter charge time. Any tips?BuyNow
Terrible Battery Life
This was the only cordless available in store so I got it. The battery life is absolutely terrible. YOu will get 20 - 25 minutes tops out of it and it does not handle thick growth either. Would strongly advise against this trimmer.AFernandez
full battery ran less than 15 min
Charged overnight. Ran 13 min and battery died. Noticed a significant loss of power last 5 min then it quit. Recharging now 2 hours still blinking. Should have read reviews before buying. Most say 6 hrs to recharge for 20 min max run. I was cutting a mix of weeds and grass. Will be returning product.busygirl
Bought two of them.
First one I bought lasted 2 months, second one I bought was worse, the battery charge time was 6-7 hours and then I was lucky to get 15 minutes out of it. Went back to get a replacement battery and they told me they no longer sold them!!!!!!!!!! The periscope handle wouldn't lock from the time I got it.annies
Like the product, frustrated by the process.
I really like the B & D 20 v weed eater. It's light weight and does a good job on the weeds and grass around the house. Recharge time is decent. On Walmart's website I found 3 stores in my area which had the item in stock, ordered it from the nearest one and quickly got an email stating I could pick it up in 3 hours. An hour later I got an email saying the item was on order and new pick-up time was 3 days later. Went to 2nd store on list and no weed eater, so just waited the 3 days for the one on order. Not Walmart's usual got service.WisconsinGrama
