Great Price
Because of manufacturer recommendations, lithium-ion batteries should not be too warm when put in the charger, and the ambient temperature should not be below 40 F,; therefore, having a spare battery increases one's productivity. Walmart's price is much better than Amazons's or any other web based company.Brazos
Product not as pictured
Be warned when ordering online. Walmart shipped a Generation 1 battery instead of this pictured item (current version). It wasn't a Greenworks G-MAX as shown in this pic!

I'd ordered a 2nd battery to have as a spare for my snow blower. The G-MAX battery operated as expected and cleared most of my driveway in a single charge.RayInIowa
Smallest G-MAX Battery option but does the job
I've got (3) 4Ah batteries I've been using for the past 3 months in 5 tools and just recently got this 2Ah with the pole saw kit, so I was real curious as to how it would perform compared to it's big brother.

I'm really surprised how long it actually lasts in use. Got around 20-30 min of cutting with the pole saw and still had 2 bars (1/2 a charge) left.

Also used it in my 21" mower and 14" string trimmer to see how long it would last. It is a small yard (15-20 minutes of mowing) and was able to get all the mowing done as well as 15 minutes or so of trimming and still had 1 bar left ... impressive to say the least !!

This 2Ah battery is 1.82 lbs. where the 4Ah is 2.88 lbs. So for tools that don't need the amperage or for short jobs, this will be my go-to battery for the reduced weight.dougmacm
Green Works 40 volt pole saw
I needed a pole saw to trim mesquite trees in my pasture so I can shrewd weeds. The battery's last a good hour of steady trimming. The pole is set up to split in to a. Long up to 12 ft and a shorter 6-8 ft reach. I use the long for trimming trees and shorter for cleaning brush in fence lines. The battery's recharge fast. The chain is easy to clean and adjust when you need to tighten. I was impressed with its power. The good part it's lighter than a gas powered saw and starts every time.Jesse
good battery
this size battery is perfect for some of my smaller Greenworks tools [blower, trimmer, hedge trimmer]whazits
